OUR BUILD PROCESS
N2 the WLDRNESS is a community-built housing initiative rooted in simplicity, access, and collective action. We believe housing should be foundational, not conditional. By mobilizing small contributions, shared ownership, and intentional design, we’re creating a new pathway to affordable, grounded living.
This isn’t about fast builds or flashy development. It’s about building right, building together, and building something that lasts. Through our $1 movement and phased construction process, we turn participation into progress and community into infrastructure.
N2 the WLDRNESS exists for people who believe land, shelter, and dignity should grow from the same soil.
The 4 Phases
We build in phases to stay transparent, sustainable, and community-led.
Each phase is designed to stand on its own while preparing the ground for the next.

01
Phase ONE
ROOTING THE VISION
'Foundation before construction'
This phase is about intention, planning, and protection of the mission.
What happens here:
-
Land identification and feasibility review
-
Zoning, legal structure, and compliance
-
Community vision alignment
-
Launch and growth of the $1 movement
Why it matters:
Strong roots prevent collapse. Before anything is built, we ensure the land, mission, and systems are stable and aligned.
02
PHASE TWO
PREPARING THE LAND
'Infrastructure meets intention'
This phase turns raw land into build-ready ground.
What happens here:
-
Land clearing with environmental care
-
Utility planning (water, power, waste)
-
Road access and safety preparation
-
Site mapping for future structures
Why it matters:
This is where vision meets reality. Preparing the land responsibly ensures longevity and safety for future residents.

03
PHASE THREE
BUILDING THE STRUCTURES
'Homes take shape'
This phase focuses on constructing housing & essential community spaces.
What happens here:
-
Construction of initial housing units
-
Use of efficient, durable building methods
-
Creation of shared community spaces
-
Ongoing inspections and quality control
Why it matters:
We build with purpose, not excess. Every structure is designed to support dignity, function, and long-term affordability.
04
PHASE FOUR
BUILDING THE COMMUNITY
'Living systems, not just housing'
This phase transforms the build into a living ecosystem.
What happens here:
-
Resident onboarding and community agreements
-
Ongoing maintenance and stewardship systems
-
Community programming and shared resources
-
Long-term sustainability planning
Why it matters:
Housing is only the beginning. Community is what makes it endure.
